Certification

I got an email from a friend of mine who is serving on the design team for Christian Educators Fellowship Conference 2008, October 24-27, in Albuquerque, NM. This is an outstanding gathering for Christian Educators, and will be paired with the Preaching From the Center conference, sponsored by GBOD.

She was excited to share that she had been approved by her conference Board of Ordained Ministry for her certification in Christian Education (as well as the more important issue of being affirmed in her call for commissioning in the United Methodist Church).

In the chaos of my life, I realized I had forgotten already that just yesterday morning the Cal-Pac Board of Ordained Ministry also approved my certification in Christian Education. This came after a good run for my Camp and Retreat Ministry Certification, and some trials with my paperwork, and explanation of Certification for Full-Connection Elders in Christian Education.

Certification is a great way to affirm your call, and pursue your education in your field of choice. Check out the GBHEM website to see more of the areas you can be certified.
