Another Paradox

As one who enjoys the amusement of a good paradox, particularly when related to the church, I caught a glimpse of this article at Engadget.

Church gives away iTunes for attendance

This is just mindboggling for the intrinsic paradoxes. Not sure what else to say at this time.
Check out how giving away iTunes to increase attendance is supposed to help alleviate the issues of "'i': Living in a self absorbed world."

Saw this latest article thanks to Christdot. More for the "i" generation and the iPod crowd.
Not sure what would do the trick around here, but I suspect something having to do with feeding the hungry and sheltering the homeless, caring for the alien among you.

I guess I'm more concerned not about what they're offering, but with the fact that most churches hope to get the "right blend" to bring people in, instead of going out to be with people where they are first.

i sent the link to the church staff as an 'idea' for our community's "bring a friend to church" sunday this week. they've gotten a kick out of it.
