I am a pastor in the United Methodist Church. I have a beautiful and wonderful wife and children. I grew up in Bishop, California (the Mule Capital of the World - thank you very much!) I attended Emory University and the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

It was Charles Capps who suggested that Jesus must have spent an eternity in hell, as this was the only way He could have adequately paid the price for our sins; Capps admitted that it was hard if not impossible for our human minds to comprehend how this could have been. However I can only imagine that after 3 days and nights in that awful place it was tantamount to an eternity.
